Marabu Adhesion Modifier UV-HV8 – Modifier, 0.1 L

Marabu Adhesion Modifier UV-HV8 is an adhesion promoter for UV inks, designed for screen printing on difficult substrates, especially glass and metal. The additive improves ink adhesion as well as resistance to chemicals and mechanical stress.

It is added to UV inks at 2–5% prior to printing (according to the respective ink series recommendations) and must be mixed thoroughly. The pot life of the prepared mixture is approximately 8 hours, therefore any remaining ink should be removed from the screen immediately after printing.

When to use:

- When printing on difficult-to-process plastics.

- When insufficient adhesion is observed.

- When higher resistance after UV curing is required.

- For industrial or technical applications.

Suitable paints:

For use with Marabu UV ink systems (e.g. UV screen printing or pad printing inks).

It is recommended to use only with the UV paint series specified by the manufacturer.

Usage:

Add a small amount directly to the paint.

Recommended dosage:

1-5% (depending on paint system and substrate).

Mix thoroughly until smooth.

Always perform a test print as excessive amounts may affect curing or surface properties.

Impact on the press:

- Improves paint adhesion.

- Increases resistance to mechanical stress.

- Improves print reliability on problematic surfaces.

Does not significantly affect color if used at the correct dosage.

⚠️ Overdosing may negatively affect UV curing or surface properties.

Storage and safety:

Store tightly closed at 15-25°C.

Protect from direct sunlight.
