Marabu Marastar SR 910 is a solvent-based transparent overprint varnish designed to provide additional protection for printed surfaces.

The varnish offers a high-gloss finish and good resistance to UV exposure, making it particularly suitable for use in combination with metallic inks such as silver or gold, helping to improve their resistance to sunlight and environmental influences.

Suitable surfaces:

- PVC (rigid and adhesive film)

- ABS / SAN

- Acrylic (PMMA)

- Polycarbonate (PC)

- Pre-treated polyester films

- Paper, cardboard

- Wood

Note: A hardener may be required for some surfaces or for greater resistance.

Preparation:

Mix the paint thoroughly before use.

If higher mechanical or chemical resistance is required, a hardener can be used.

Use the prepared mixture within the time recommended by the manufacturer.

Press:

For screen printing

Suitable for manual, semi-automatic and automatic printing machines

Spraying is also possible, but preliminary tests are recommended

Drying:

Very fast drying

At room temperature:

can be overcoated after a few minutes

Drying is even faster in a tunnel dryer

Final properties are achieved after complete drying.

Properties after drying:

- High gloss

- Excellent grip

- Resistance to abrasion and scratches

Suitable for indoor and outdoor use (depending on color and conditions of use)

Usage notes:

For long-term outdoor use, it is recommended to choose colors with greater light resistance.

For higher mechanical or chemical requirements, it is recommended to use a hardener.

Not intended for products in contact with the mouth.

Storage and safety:

Store at 15-25°C, tightly closed, in a dark place.

Shelf life – up to 3.5 years (depending on color).

Work in accordance with safety requirements, use protective equipment.
