Marabu Thinner TPV is a thinner for Marabu Tampa series pad printing inks. It is used to adjust ink viscosity, flow, and ink transfer from the pad, as well as to fine-tune drying speed according to production conditions.

The typical addition level is 10–20%. The TPV variant numbering indicates the evaporation rate, with higher numbers corresponding to slower evaporation.

When to use:

- When printing is done at a slow pace.

- When the paint dries too quickly in the cliche or on the pad.

- When more stable paint transfer is required.

- For small motifs and complex shapes.

- TPV 3 is often used as a retarder-type additive.

Usage:

Add to the paint in small quantities.

Typical dosage:

5-20% (depending on ink system, printing speed and environmental conditions)

Mix well until smooth.

Note: The amount of thinner depends on temperature, humidity, printing equipment and cliché type.

Impact on the press:

- Slows down paint drying

- Improves paint flow

- Reduces drying in the cliche

- Helps maintain consistent print quality over longer cycles.

⚠️ Too much can negatively affect drying time and adhesion.

Storage and safety:

Store tightly closed at 15-25°C.

Use in well-ventilated areas.
