INDUSTRIES:
BATTERY MANUFACTURING - Contamination Removal in Battery Cell Manufacturing.
With the growth of the electric vehicle market in recent years, manufacturers has been rapidly developing and manufacturing lithium-ion batteries to drive sales growth. Giant factories are opening around the world to meet demand, increasing competition and making quality the most important thing. With technology rapidly advancing, battery manufacturers are striving to create a battery that can match the performance of gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles and deliver impressive mileage and performance. To achieve this, each step in the battery manufacturing process must be carefully analyzed to achieve the best results.
MEDICAL - Contamination removal in medical device manufacturing. In the manufacturing of medical devices and other medical goods, high static charges create contamination and packaging challenges. Static charges can attract dust and other airborne contaminants to moving surfaces (typically plastic and silicone products and packaging), which can lead to costly defective products if not treated. However, with the right static control and roll cleaning solution in place, these charges can be removed and a clean, uncontaminated product can be obtained.
FOOD & BEVERAGE - Contamination removal in food and beverage manufacturing. The food and beverage industry consists of companies that process raw materials into finished food and beverage products. It also includes the packaging and distribution of these products to consumers. It is a highly regulated industry where high quality standards must be maintained. Uncontrolled static charges can be a challenge for this industry. Static charges attract airborne dust and other contaminants, which negatively affect the quality of the final product. In the food and beverage industry, poor quality will result in unnecessary waste, increased production costs and a potential negative impact on the company's reputation. The main benefits of implementing an effective cleaning or anti-static solution are a static and contaminant-free production process and significantly improved end-of-line productivity, with some manufacturing plants reducing waste by as much as 30%. These solutions can also reduce machine wear and tear and extend equipment life. Meech provides solutions across the industry, from static control, surface cleaning and air technology products used in food and beverage production and packaging. Maintaining high standards of safety, product quality and production efficiency will ensure a successful and profitable operation.
ELECTRONICS - Contamination removal in electronics manufacturing. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is a common and important problem in the electronics industry. If two elements have different levels of electrostatic charge (i.e. one is positively charged and the other is negatively charged), they want to balance each other out. If they are close enough together, a rapid, spontaneous transfer of electrostatic charge occurs.
ESD damage can be immediate and catastrophic, i.e. the device or components immediately stop working and is detected during production inspections. Sensitive components such as integrated circuits and diodes are particularly susceptible to ESD. Therefore, managing the risks posed by ESD is very important in electronics manufacturing. At Meech Static Eliminators Ltd, we offer advanced industrial static charge control solutions to neutralize static charges on materials and prevent ESD-related problems.
RECYCLING - Contamination removal in the recycling industry. The recycling industry covers a wide range of applications, materials and product widths. The processing process mainly involves the unwinding of thin materials from a roll or sheet to roll or sheet to sheet format, unwinding, film coating, extrusion, coating, drying, calendering, laminating, layering, slitting, laser cutting, slitting, printing, packaging, wrapping and many other areas. Commonly used roll materials include paper, films, plastic films, woven and non-woven textiles. The speed of the processes can be slow for very complex conversion processes, but is often high to maximize productivity and profitability. The processes can be large-scale industrial or small-scale for a single end user, but in both cases a lot of power and control is required to operate the machines and the process efficiency. Various processes convert the raw material into an improved product in the form of a roll or sheet (which is transferred to the next production stage) or a finished product at the end of the line and add value to it. High-speed material transfer often results in static buildup, which can cause material misalignment in the machine, paint coverage issues, and the attraction of contaminants (from processes or the environment). If the process is not controlled, the process speed becomes limited or changes in conditions require a reduction in speed and throughput. Surface contamination can penetrate the surface and affect the coating and print quality, resulting in reduced product yield or poor presentation. Extensive automation and control equipment requires high energy consumption and a large amount of cooling capacity to maintain standard operating temperatures. With an unrivaled range of static control, static generation, sensors and data logging, non-contact and contact belt cleaning, air efficiency and air cooling systems, Meech offers the recycling industry a set of cost-effective solutions that increase productivity, maximize throughput and help customers use the latest industry offerings to get the job done.
AUTOMOTIVE - Contamination removal in automotive manufacturing.
Static charge-related problems in the automotive industry are very wide-ranging and can arise at various stages of the manufacturing process. Problems arising from static charge and the resulting contamination (e.g. dust accumulation) are particularly common in injection molding, blow molding, vacuum forming, part spraying and extrusion. Other processes such as painting, sealing and coating of vehicle bodies and components also require surfaces to be free of dust and contamination. Otherwise, static can cause defects such as blending problems, shading and uneven coating, which can lead to quality issues, slow production and increase costs. Meech Static Eliminators Ltd offers advanced static control, air technology and surface cleaning technology solutions to neutralize static and remove surface particles to keep your production clean and free from contamination.
PHARMACY - Decontamination in pharmaceutical manufacturing. In pharmaceutical manufacturing, high static charges can cause problems such as production jams, inaccurate weighing, contamination, poor blister sealing and even tablet or capsule rejection (resulting in incomplete blister filling). Static charges can attract dust and other airborne contaminants to the surface of the moving roller, which can lead to costly rejects if not addressed. For example, static charges can cause weighing equipment to display inaccurate results, which is critical when precise dosage measurements are essential. Static control is therefore essential to balance static charges and ensure that all weighings (to the milligram) are accurate. By implementing the right static control and belt cleaning solution, static charges can be eliminated, resulting in clean, accurate and contamination-free production.PACKAGING - Decontamination in packaging production, decontamination in textile production. The packaging industry is a very important part of the modern world, making a significant impact worldwide. This sector is very broad, serving end markets using a variety of material types. From low-cost plastic bags to high-end consumer packaging, food and pharmaceutical products, the quality and safety of products is of paramount importance. Static charges can cause problems in many areas of the packaging process. The main problems caused by high static charges are: Process control and quality problems Dust attraction and contamination Operator electrostatic discharges Meech offers solutions to your static charge problems with a variety of static control solutions and the widest range of surface and belt cleaning products.
TEXTILE Decontamination in textile production. During textile production, the manipulation of fibers generates high levels of static electricity, which can cause a variety of problems. Processes such as carding, baling, winding, stentering and the operation of machines (e.g. laundries) generate particularly high levels of static electricity. However, when it comes to synthetic fibers, the impact of ESD is even greater. As synthetic textiles gain market share, the need for more reliable static control solutions will also grow. At Meech Static Eliminators Ltd, we offer an advanced range of industrial static control and document cleaning solutions designed to neutralise static charges in fabrics and prevent static problems during textile production.
HYDROGEN FUEL CELLS - Pollution removal in hydrogen fuel cell production. HFC technology will be a key part of zero carbon solutions. Compared to internal combustion engines, it is very clean and its by-product is H2O.
HFC is likely to be combined with battery technology, but it is predicted that it will be supplied in smaller quantities to the passenger car sector, and in larger quantities to heavy goods vehicles, buses, shipping, material handling and even aircraft and drones. Although this technology has evolved and expanded more slowly than battery technology, it is currently being actively developed industrially, with a focus on better automation of key process steps. Meech is working with scale-up partners to industrially adapt the manufacturing processes for PEM (proton exchange membrane) fuel cells, which are commonly used in the automotive sector. Avoiding contamination and high static charges on cell components is crucial, and Meech will work with partners to determine the optimal solution, taking into account the available machine space, the type and characteristics of contamination, and the process environment. By avoiding these risks, production speeds can be optimized, yields can be increased, and hidden defects can be avoided.
